Overview
Curtain walling is the core discipline of UK Curtain Walling Ltd. We deliver both unitised and stick-built aluminium curtain wall systems, engineered to meet the structural, thermal and acoustic demands of contemporary UK developments.
Our in-house technical team takes projects from RIBA Stage 4 detailed design through to handover, co-ordinating with the structural frame, MEP services and waterproofing interfaces. Every system is tested against CWCT Standard for Systemised Building Envelopes and weather-tested to the relevant performance grade.
Capabilities
What this service includes
Unitised curtain walling
Factory-assembled storey-height units with split mullion stack joints for rapid, crane-assisted installation on high-rise frames — minimising time at height and external access requirements.
Stick-built curtain walling
Site-assembled mullion-and-transom grids for low- to medium-rise elevations, complex geometries and refurbishment where unitisation is not viable.
Thermal & acoustic performance
Polyamide thermal breaks and insulated spandrel zones delivering U-values from 1.0 W/m²K, with acoustic interlayers achieving up to Rw 45 dB where required.
Structural engineering
Wind-load and dead-load analysis to BS EN 1991, deflection control to L/175, and bespoke bracket design accommodating frame tolerances and movement.
