The challenge

The architect required a fully transparent double-height entrance hall with no visible structure interrupting the glazed plane.

The entrance had to combine architectural impact with accessibility and energy efficiency at a busy city-centre frontage.

Our solution

We engineered an 11-metre glass-fin facade using toughened-laminated fins to carry wind load without internal steel, achieving complete transparency.

A structural silicone glazed system with 20 mm sightlines wrapped the entrance, factory-bonded to ETAG 002 with secondary mechanical retention.

An automatic revolving door reduced heat loss, paired with an accessible automatic pass door to satisfy Approved Document M.

The result

The entrance has become the signature image of the building and the client’s brand, with uninterrupted views from street to atrium.

Energy modelling confirmed the revolving entrance significantly reduced entrance-zone heat loss compared with conventional doors.
