All installation had to be carried out adjacent to a live operational railway, within engineering possessions and night-time isolations.
The glazing had to meet Network Rail company standards for safety, durability and slipstream loading in a high-footfall transport environment.
Our Sentinel-competent teams worked under agreed possessions and isolations with full RAMS and COSS provision, protecting passengers and the operational railway.
Concourse curtain walling and platform canopies were engineered for slipstream and weather loading using laminated, anti-shatter, vandal-resistant glazing.
A glazed footbridge enclosure provided a fully accessible, weather-protected link with maintenance access designed over the track.
The interchange was delivered without disruption to rail services, with zero safety incidents recorded across all possession works.
The station reopened with a bright, durable and accessible concourse serving significantly increased passenger numbers.
